Process

 

Students from the University of Oregon and Oregon State University will be selected to pitch their ventures in front of a panel of judges and an audience. Through an application process, three student ventures from each school will be welcomed to participate in this competition. Each school runs a separate application process. Below is a timeline for the University of Oregon students who wish to apply.
 

Timeline (UO Students)

 

Saturday April 5th: Student teams will submit a video (2 minutes or less) and a five page executive summary.
 
Tuesday April 8th and Wednesday April 9th: Judges interview ventures to confirm intent, ask questions and choose the best representatives for the school.
 
Thursday April 10th: Announcement of participants.
 
Week of April 14th: Practice sessions for teams - Presentation and Q&A coaching.
 
Friday April 18th: Teams submit final 5 page executive summaries for judges review
 

Judges

 

To ensure impartiality, two judges from the University of Oregon and two from Oregon State will be selected. There will also be one fifth, independent judge.
